While it can be written off to the beauty and majesty of Mother Nature, scientists and filmmakers have worked together to capture, in 3D, the physics of surfing. This 35-minute documentary combines the love for the ocean, pro surfers taking to the waves and the science of how ocean waves are formed to create an educational film to be distributed to science centers and museums.
“The digital 3D science adventure is something we take seriously and do quite well,” said Greg Passmore, President of PassmoreLab, the folks in charge of the 3D imaging in the documentary. “On this film, the audience will be transfixed in a completely immersive 3D surfing experience, and learn a thing or two along the way.”
